Jaelee Small is a singer-songwriter based and raised in London. Jaelee is a familiar face on the both the London live circuit and studio session scene with her vocals gracing numerous records over the last decade. She has recorded with Metronomy, Ibibio Sound Machine, Seb Rochford (Polar Bear, Acoustic Ladyland) and Ben Lamdin (Nostalgia 77) to name but a few. Her formidable soulful vocals have graced stages at festivals and venue across Europe and beyond and whether she is tearing up London venues such as the Jazz Café or the Hideaway as lead vocalist with UK funk and soul outfits The Getup, Funkshone and the Black Hat Band or bringing the vibes at Glastonbury on backing vocals with Afro-funksters Ibibio Sound Machine – Jaelee always brings an unparalleled energy to her performances.
In the last couple of years Jaelee has also begun to record and release her own music showcasing herself to be an original and unique artist. Her music brings together pop, rock, soul, folk and more showcases her skills with awesome vocal arrangements under pinned by ambitious orchestrations. Jaelee counts the Beach Boys, REM, Aretha Franklin, Pink Floyd amongst her many and varied influences and her music is her record of her thoughts, experiences and emotions.
